DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR ADMISSION?
This event is free and open to the public. However, there will be sales inside the festival where vendors will offer goods and food for purchase.
ARE THERE ANY PROHIBITED ITEMS?
Yes, there are prohibited items in accordance with LAPD regulations. They include:
- Bags that are not see-thru at event entry.
- Bags & backpacks larger than standard backpack size (16.75 inches x 13 inches x 8.5 inches)
- Coolers, chairs, outside alcoholic beverages, glass containers, narcotics, bikes, scooters, tents, firecrackers, explosives, firearms, weapons, drones.
- Printed signage larger than 8.5″x11″, props, flagpoles.
- Aerosol cans, megaphones, boom boxes, amplification devices
ARE THERE ANY PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES I CAN’T DO AT THE EVENT?
Yes, there are prohibited activities as per LAPD regulations. They include:
- Public intoxication, rollerblading, skateboarding, smoking, vaping, unauthorized vending, unleashed animals, outside solicitation, staking objects to the ground, drone operation, amplified noise, bicycles & scooters (may be parked outside of event)*prohibited items lists subject to change
- Sec. 55.07. Prohibition on carrying or possessing specified items while attending or participating in any public demonstration, rally, protest, picket line or public assembly. (title and section amended by ord. No.185,217,eff. 11/3/17.)
IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED?
Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the event. However, we have a Beer Garden where alcohol will be available for purchase. Attendees who are 21 and older will need to present ID for age verification, and each individual is limited to purchasing and consuming a maximum of three drinks.
IS IT A KID- FRIENDLY EVENT?
Yes, Fiesta Broadway is a family-friendly event brought to you by PLAYLA from LA Parks and Rec! We’ve set up a special area just for children called the PlayLA Kids Zone. You can find it conveniently located on Broadway between 3rd and 4th street. This zone is designed with children’s safety and enjoyment in mind, featuring four engaging areas: Soccer, Basketball, Football, and an Obstacle Challenge. From kicking challenges to shooting hoops and tackling obstacles, kids will have a blast participating in various activities. Rest assured, we’ve implemented safety measures to ensure a fun and secure experience for all attendees, making Fiesta Broadway a memorable event for the entire family.

Parking is available at several locations, including:
- 145 N Broadway, Downtown Los Angeles, CA 90012
- 137 S Hill St, Downtown Los Angeles, CA 90012
- 243 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
These spots are conveniently located near the event venue.
WHAT CAN I DO TO PROTECT MY HEALTH + SAFETY AT THE EVENT?
Be sure to:
- Remember to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water! Hydration stations are available on Broadway at the intersections of 2nd Street and 3rd Street.
- Wear sunscreen and a hat for protection from the sun
- Stay close to people you know
- Follow instructions from event staff – they are here to help

IF IT RAINS, DOES THAT MEAN THE EVENT IS CANCELLED?
No. The event is open rain or shine. However, stages will be temporarily shutdown if lightning is detected in the area. We will resume activities once lightning strikes have ceased for at least 20 minutes.
PUBLIC SAFETY
At our event, security and safety are our top priorities. We collaborate closely with law enforcement and public safety agencies to ensure the safety of all attendees.
Please take note of our Prohibited Items list. Any prohibited items will be denied entry and must either be returned to your vehicle or disposed of.
If you or someone you know requires medical assistance, please locate the nearest medical tent or notify a staff member immediately. Remember: if you see something suspicious, say something. Flag down any staff member or public safety official if you observe any unusual activity or behavior.
The Lost Child Tent is situated on the corner of Broadway and First Street.

All attendees agree to abide by festival policies, including health and safety guidelines, as well as any posted instructions while attending the festival. Attendees are responsible for assessing their own risk before deciding to attend. By entering the festival grounds, attendees voluntarily assume all risks associated with exposure to viruses, including COVID-19, and agree to comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as any quarantine or isolation recommendations.
COVID-19, being highly contagious and potentially leading to severe illness and fatalities, presents an elevated risk of exposure in any public or densely populated environment. Attendees must understand that while participating in the festival, they face this inherent risk of encountering COVID-19, with no guarantee, either explicit or implied, of avoiding exposure.
